Mia Bruno combines her passion for independent film with a unique skill for creating distribution strategies that are innovative, effective, and collaborative. Mia currently works as a distribution consultant and impact producer for filmmakers and media companies, building creative distribution plans from the very onset of production to maximize opportunities within the marketplace. Prior to this, Mia served as Head of Distribution at Seed&Spark, building a distribution pipeline into the marketplace for crowdfunded films. Before that, she was Director of Acquisitions at Gravitas Ventures, identifying and bringing in quality independent films, including Dave Grohl's SOUND CITY, and Desiree Akhavan's APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR, garnering the company's first Independent Spirit Award nomination. With a degree in film theory, Mia inhabits the intersection of an abiding love of film with an expansive view of the ways it can reach audiences.
Residing in Los Angeles where he is a writer and director, Jonathan began his career with the BBC for eight years as a documentary filmmaker where he worked on over 200 documentaries during his eight year tenure. He produced and directed Four Lives, an Emmy-nominated documentary, and worked on other documentaries for NBC, PBS, and HBO on topics ranging from a high-fashion Drag troupe in Paris, to the high rate of NYPD suicides. After working at the BBC he began working as a writer and director for television commercials. He has been honored at such major national and international competitions as Cannes, AICP, ANDY, Clio, the One Show, the Emmy’s and the D&AD. His awards include two Cannes Lions, four AICP awards, and 5 Clios for his work on Nike, Adidas, Dunkin’ Donuts, Toyota, and others. He is the author of two books, The Magic Lantern and Drag Diaries. He remains a passionate advocate for those afflicted with psychiatric and mental disorders. He is also obsessed with the French and their ways.
